Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. Amy Smart, born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut performance. It took some time to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller role. This was not easy for Amy as she had to move from modelling into the acting profession. Models aren't considered great actors and so tend to play smaller, less important roles. Amy never gave up. Her first big role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy received the recognition she'd been looking for for over a decade. Amy continued to make important films like Crank opposite Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was loved as a regular part of the cast.
