Amy Smart was an American model and actress. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart started her modeling career in California. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first performance. It was a long road to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller part. Amy struggled to make the leap from modeling into acting since models are not usually considered good actors. They are usually given smaller roles that aren't important. Amy did not give up. She worked her way up to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her play some more notable parts. Amy gained the recognition she had been searching for for more than 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. Amy continued to make significant films, like Crank opposite Jason Statham or Shameless in which she became a cherished regular character.
